9 Things to give up if you want to be happy!
Authenticity is more than speaking. Authenticity is also about doing. Every decision we make says something about who we are
Tranquility can’t be grasped except by those who have reached an unwavering and firm power of judgement-the rest constantly fall and rise in their decisions, wavering in a state of alternately rejecting and accepting things. What is the cause of this back and forth? Its because nothing is clear and they rely on the most uncertain guide- common opinion
“Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.”
(Proverbs 4:25, NIV)
What are you looking at today? I don’t mean in the natural, but in the spiritual. What is in the forefront of your mind and heart? Are you constantly dwelling on your problems or things that have happened in your past? In the natural, you will move in the direction that your eyes are looking. In the spiritual, it works the same way. Whatever you focus your mind and heart on, you will move toward. That’s why this verse tells us to look straight ahead. If you are constantly dwelling on your problems or things in your past, wondering “what if”, then you will stay right where you are. But if you choose to forgive and release the past, then you can focus on what is ahead of you and begin to move forward. God doesn’t want you to live in the past. He wants you to meditate on His goodness and believe His promises so that you can keep growing. God is a creative God, and He has designed a wonderful future for you. Look straight ahead so you can see it and move forward into the life of victory God has promised!
“Heavenly Father, today I set my focus on You. I choose to forget the past by forgiving others so that I can look straight ahead to Your promises. I ask that You direct my heart on the path of life that You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

I was sitting down today reviewing all the loan options for a client and it still gets me excited to be helping my clients with a mortgage. I really enjoy working with the numbers and the different mortgage loans available in Utah. Each mortgage loan has benefits and disadvantages. Some have higher payments but less money down. Other have a larger down payment but less per month. I feel it’s important to review all the options for a mortgage with each client because they are more involved in picking the right mortgage or Home Loan for them. Many times client will come in with an idea of the type of loan they want but leave with a fuller understanding of that loan or even end up changing their minds with taking a review of the other loan options that are out there.
Call me today if you are interested in a full review of your mortgage options! I can help you buy, build or refinance a home!
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
(Romans 12:2, NKJV)
Living in victory means that sometimes you have to develop new habits. If you’ve been negative for a long time, you’ve got to retrain your thinking from “I can’t” to “I can;” from “It won’t happen” to “It will happen;” from “I’ll never get well” to “God is restoring health unto me;” from “I never get any good breaks” to “God’s favor surrounds me like a shield;” from “I’ve made too many mistakes. I’m all washed up;” to “I’m redeemed and forgiven. My best days are still out in front of me.”
It doesn’t matter how bad it looks, how many people have told you no, or how long it’s been that way, God has the final say. It’s not over till God says it’s over. Shake off the self-pity. Shake off the disappointment. Declare His promises over your life and see His victory as you align yourself with Him!
“Heavenly Father, thank You for being my source of life. Thank You for Your hand of blessing that is leading and guiding me. I choose to make You the number one priority in my life. Let my heart hunger only for You today in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
(2 Corinthians 4:18, NIV)
Every obstacle in your life is subject to change. It doesn’t matter what you may be facing, there is an answer in the unseen. The unseen is the spiritual realm where the promises of God exist. Your faith brings those unseen things into this natural realm. When you are fixed on something, you can’t be moved. There’s a determination that fuels your focus. When you fix your eyes on the unseen—the promises of God—your faith will not be moved by your circumstances, and you’ll eventually see those promises come to pass.
Make the decision today to fix your eyes and mind on the promises of God. Meditate on His promises until they become more real to you than the air you breathe. Declare that His promises will come to pass in your life. Declare that you have His favor. Declare that you are more than a conqueror. Don’t allow fear and doubt to change what you are speaking over your life. As you continue to fix your spiritual eyes on the unseen promises of God, you will see those things come to pass in the natural, and you will move forward into the abundant life the Lord has for you!
“Father God, today I choose to fix my eyes on You. I choose to fix my mind and heart on Your promises no matter what it looks like in this natural world. I know that Your Word is true and that Your promises will be fulfilled in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

“Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.”
(Galatians 1:10, NIV)
Paul was obviously not worried about trying to please the people around him. It’s not that he didn’t care about others. It’s just that he was focused on serving the Lord. Many times you may be too worried about what people think of you, which inhibits you from following God with your whole heart. Instead, follow those God-given desires with reckless abandon because all that will matter in the end is fulfilling God’s plan for your life. You are called to serve God without reserve, so fulfill His plan without letting others sidetrack you.
“God, give me the dedication to be Your servant alone. Help me not to be sidetracked by what others may think of me in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
